Volvo’s new 360c concept :Why fly when you can be driven !!

It’s good to hear  if people can stagger long distance trips without taking flights and luggage with them ? Isn’t this sounds classy and fascinating! A total another world in which anyone can avoid airport security, hours of queuing and waiting, cramped airliners.  You could manage the whole things according to yourself and can take your own first – class private cabin that picks you up from your door step and drops you at the location where you want to visit.

The whole enchanting and delightful vision is the future, in which Volvo is lifting up the level to make it parallel and factual, the only perception of autonomous travel that Volvo unveils today with its new Volvo 360c concept, by this Volvo beliefs interconnection to the view of a new future of travelling, which comes with a whole new privilege, electric, interconnected and safety as well. After the unveiling of whole new concept – Volvo 360c, probability is it could make a strong impact in the market for Volvo in automobile industry, for example in the multi-billion dollar domestic air travel industry.

The motive of the 360c is to give freedom to the people, either to save the time, spending more on themselves despite of traveling and driving to other cities or locations.
Primarily the concept of autonomous driving vehicles is based on four potentials that is taken care by – a sleeping environment, mobile office, living room and entertainment space.

“The business will change in the coming years and Volvo should lead that change of our industry,” said Håkan Samuelsson, president and CEO of Volvo Cars. “Autonomous drive will allow us to take the big next step in safety but also open up exciting new business models and allow consumers to spend time in the car doing what they want to do.”

The 360c represents a potentially lucrative competitor to short-haul air travel, a multi-billion dollar industry comprising airlines, aircraft makers and other service providers. Especially shorter routes where the distance between origin and destination is around 300 kilometres are prime candidates for disruption by an alternative mode of travel

“Autonomous vehicle concepts have a tendency to become a technology showcase instead of a vision of how people use it,” said Robin Page, senior vice president of design at Volvo Cars. “But Volvo is a human-centric brand. We focus on the daily lives of our customers and how we can make them better. The 360c is the next iteration of this approach.”
