AUDI Q5 2nd Gen Launch in India
All new second gen Audi Q5 will be officially launched in the Indian market, on 18th January 2018.
As it’s the next gen Q5 we can expect, the vehicle is going to be lighter than the previous model with all new sassy looks, astonish interiors.
Mechanically, the model is expected to be powered by the 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine and the 2.0 litre TFSI petrol. Both the engines are mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic (dual clutch) automatic transmission with Audi’s Quattro AWD (All Wheel Drive) setup.
Expected engine displacement is 1968cc in Diesel and for Petrol it’s 1984cc with the Max Power of 190 PS @3800 – 4200 rpm/ 252 PS @ 5000 – 6000 rpm and Peak Torque of 400Nm @ 1750 – 3000 rpm/370Nm @ 1600 – 4500 rpm. Yes, the SUV is 7-speed dual clutch auto for both the mated engines.
The all new Audi Q5 is likely to compete against the popular – BMW X3, along with Mercedes Benz GLC and the Second-Gen Volvo XC60. The Audi Q5 was launched in India in 2008 and has ruled the roads over the years.
Measuring’s of the model – 4633mm x 2141mm x 1658mm (L x W x H), the new Q5 is quite longer, wider and taller than its predecessor, which is 4629mm x 1880mm x 1653mm.
There is a slight changes done in the wheelbase too, which has been also gone up by 12mm and now its about 2819mm.
If, we talk about the new astonished interiors, the Q5 looks similar to Q7, coming equipped with 12.3 inches virtual cockpit instrument cluster with an 8.3 inch infotainment display sitting at the top of the central console. Also gets the built in navigation, Bang & Olufsen Sound system. The SUV will also come equipped with a electronic aids including adaptive cruise control, active lane assist, collision avoidance assist, pre- sense front and rear, park assist, blind spot warning and many more.
