Maruti Suzuki has introduced a Limited Edition of its premium hatchback – the Baleno
It is that time of the year when manufacturers try woo their customers in buying their products which is precisely what Maruti Suzuki seem to have done with their premium hatchback the Baleno. Thus Maruti Suzuki Baleno now gets a Limited Edition which boosts of additional features at an extra cost of INR 35,000.
That’s correct by paying an extra 35 grand, one can get cosmetic upgrades like a contract grey body kit comprising of front, side and rear skirts. The Baleno Limited Edition will also offer side body mouldings on the outside while the interiors come spruced up with dual tone seat covers featuring a quilted design, 3D floor mats, a smart key finder, illuminated scuff plates and cushions.
Mechanically, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno remains unchanged. The hatchback offers a 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 diesel engines under the skin. While the former produces 83.1 bhp of power output with 115 Nm of the torque, the later is capable of churning out 74 bhp alongside 190 Nm of torque. The mileage of Maruti Suzuki Baleno petrol stands at 21.4 kmpl whereas Maruti Suzuki Baleno diesel returns a figure of 27.39 kmpl.
Competing against the likes of Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz in the Indian market, it is speculated that Maruti Baleno is scheduled for mid-cycle facelift sometime next year. What we are also to believe is the introduction of a brand new diesel engine which could be a 1.5 litre unit replacing the older 1.3 DDiS diesel motor.
